A group of Kurdish protestors attacked a Turkish military camp based in Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdish region on Saturday.
The group burned two tanks and some other vehicles in the camp based in Shiladze, a town in northeast Duhok, near the Turkish border, a local NRT TV said.
One protestor was killed and at least 10 others were wounded, Kurdish officials announced. Najib Saeed, the head of health officials in the region claimed Turkish soldiers shot the protestors but he said the death cause is unclear.

NRT TV published some alleged footages of the incident, showing the group storming the Turkish military camp. Some unarmed civilians came face to face with Turkish troops near the camp, some other video footages were published on Twitter.
The attack took place a couple of days after the death of a few local villagers allegedly as a result of Turkish airstrikes in the region.
Ankara blamed the members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) for the attack, claiming they triggered conflict between Turkish forces and local residents by pretending to be civilians.
“As a result of the provocation of the PKK terrorist organisation, an attack took place in our base area located in northern Iraq,” Turkish Defence Ministry said in a statement. There was partial damage to vehicles and some equipment, it said.
In response, it was claimed that Turkish jets flew over around the camp to disperse the protestors.

Turkey has been launching air-strikes regularly against the PKK near the border with Northern Iraq where the insurgent group has bases, as a part of its decades-long fight with the group in Turkey.
The Kurdish government, led by Nechirvan Barzani in Erbil, condemned the storming of the camp and accused PKK fighters of instigating a “sabotage.” “We have sent our forces to the area to contain the situation,” Erbil said.
Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) of Barzani sees PKK as a rival and tries to improve its close relationship with Ankara.
NRT TV claimed his four reporters, two cameramen covering the events and a driver were arrested by the government forces.
